Christmas!!!

I can't believe I have to work on Christmas Eve. :o( But it's only until 12:30, so I have 2 1/2 hours to go. That's not too bad, but I'd rather be at home organising things, and making Cheesecake and Egg Nog. Oh yeah, my boyfriend and I are making Egg Nog. Non-alcoholic, of course. Scary thought, I've never tried Egg Nog before. And everyone says it's disgusting. Hmmm... I'm afraid. :o)

A beginning?

I entered the dark, barren room, frantically sweeping sticky spider webs from my face and hands. I looked around in the gloom, searching... There. The ornate, ancient chest caught my eye, and, heart pounding ferociously, I advanced slowly towards it. I stumbled halfway, falling onto the dust-covered floor, my mouth and nose filling with a musky odor reminiscent of mothballs and rotting cedar. Laying there, the side of my face flat against the hardwood floor, I could hear every sound the old house made - every creak and groan, every rustle, every footstep... Startled, I jumped to my feet and listened intently. Nothing. The sounds of the house were still there, but no footsteps. Maybe I imagined it, I thought. But just as I was recovering from my shocked stupor, I heard it again. Mustering up as much courage as possible, I shouted, “Is anyone there?” No answer, just the footsteps, getting louder all the time. I have to get out of here! I thought. But I couldn’t leave then, not with the looming possibility that what I had spent months looking for was right there in that chest.

I raced across the room and knelt in front of the chest. My hands were shaking uncontrollably - not solely from the fear of who, or what was steadily approaching, but also from the excitement of impending discovery. The chest was fitted with a heavy-duty padlock, but I was prepared for this. I pulled a piece of strong, thick wire from my jeans’ pocket, and picked the lock with the precision of a thief. As I heard the lock release, a wave of pride washed over me. I was close, so very close. All I had to do now was open the chest... but remembering that something was coming, I swept my eyes around the room. My mouth dropped open as I looked over at the door. Pulse racing, I considered my options. They were definitely very limited. There were no windows in the room, no ulterior means of escape. The only exit now was the door, and there was absolutely no way I could get anywhere near it without... I shook the thought out of my head. It was just too dreadful to consider that option. There was nothing left to do but look inside the chest. I might as well see whether or not I die in vain I thought bitterly. I opened the lid. It was there. “Wow!” I gasped... and then I felt something touch my shoulder. Dully turning to face the enemy, my mind plunged into darkness.

When will I, will I be famous?

I can't answer, I can't answer that.

I'm bored. I can't wait to go to my Mummy's house for dinner tonight. No doubt she'll make something fabulous. She always does. :o) And I get to see Sammy, my sister's gorgeous doggy! He's so cute.

I'm bored. I can't wait until Christmas! It's going to rock. And my boyfriend is spending Christmas with us (all his family live down in Adelaide)!!! That'll be so way cool. I'm happy. But still bored. For the moment, anyway.

:o)

8 days until Christmas!!!

My life is rated G.
What is your life rated?

Yay!!! That's so extremely what I wanted! I'm pure and holy! :o)

Meanwhile, have I mentioned how much I love ELF??? Ahhh... :o)

You know what site I love? This one.

Jingle Bells
You are 'Jingle Bells'! Full of enthusiasm and
good cheer, you are excited by the first
appearances of Christmas decorations in shops
and have been heard singing along to the piped
music. Your attitude to Christmas is one of
childlike delight - with a slightly mercenary
streak. You definitely believe in Santa (you
get more presents that way) and will put up
your Christmas tree as early as possible. You
really like carolling, and presents, and mince
pies, and pudding, and will insist on getting
everyone up at dawn to open presents
immediately. So long as the food and presents
are good, you will have a great Christmas.

What Christmas Carol are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

Yay!!! Yep, that's me! I LOVE Christmas!

OK, I've had enough blogging. See ya later, Mr Blog Man!

Well, it's been a while...

A while??? Try a year! And a bit. Wow.

It's almost Chistmas again (the Christmas after the one I was talking about in my last post). I'm so excited! Christmas rocks. :o)

SOOOO... what can I say? I don't think I'll write everything that's happened in the last year, that would just be stupid... but I will say this - This year has been awesome! God is awesome, Church is awesome, Family is awesome, Friends are awesome, Boyfriend is awesome... and Everything Else is awesome too. And next year? Well, I'm positive it's going to be a million times better!

I'll post the lyrics to a fabulous song. That should get things rolling.

Third Day - Show Me Your Glory
I caught a glimpse of Your splendor
In the corner of my eye
The most beautiful thing I've ever seen
It was like a flash of lightning
Reflected off the sky
And I know I'll never be the same

Show me Your glory
Send down Your presence
I want to see Your face
Show me Your Glory
Majesty shines about You
I can't go on without You, Lord

When I climb down the mountain
And get back to my life
I won't settle for ordinary things
I'm gonna follow You forever
And for all of my days
I won't rest 'til I see You again

Show me Your glory
Send down Your presence
I want to see Your face
Show me Your Glory
Majesty shines about You
I can't go on without You, Lord
